چکیده

Two glass-ceramics sealants for solid-oxide fuel cells (SOFC) in the system BaO/SrO-MgO-B2O3-SiO2 have been analysed according to relevant sealing parameters such as sintering and crystallization of glass powders dilatation viscosity evolution with glass-ceramic compacts. Special emphasis is given kinetics mechanism, crystalline phases formed role whole process. The slower rate strontium-containing composition results good joining interconnect steel before starts crystallize increases its viscosity. This avoids excessive temperature offers better compatibility start up working an SOFC (750–850 °C).

Crystallization, Microstructure, and Viscosity Evolutions in Lithium Aluminosilicate Glass-Ceramics

Lithium aluminosilicate glass-ceramics have found widespread commercial success in areas such as consumer products, telescope mirrors, fireplace windows, etc. However, there is still much to learn regarding the fundamental mechanisms of crystallization, especially related to the evolution of viscosity as a function of the crystallization (ceramming) process. In this study, the impact of phase a...

Processing and Characterization of Nanocrystalline Mica Glass-Ceramics

In order to fabrication of transparent glass-ceramics with Li-mica nano crystals, the glasses with chemical composition of 94.9 mass% Li(1+x)Mg3AlSi3(1+x)F2 (x=0.5) with 5.1 mass% MgF2 were crystallized. The glasses were fabricated via the conventional melt-quenching technique. Mica crystals were precipitated in the glass phase by later heat treatment. Glass samples had glass transition tempera...

PREPARATION OF Fe/GLASS COMPOSITE BY REDUCTION OF Na2O– Fe2O3–B2O3–SiO2–ZnO GLASS AND GLASS CERAMICS

In the present study, the feasibility of α-Fe ferromagnetic phase formation in glass and glass-ceramic by reduction in hydrogen atmosphere have been investigated. The glass with the composition of 35Na 2 O–24Fe2O3–20B 2O3 – 20SiO 2 –1ZnO (mol %) was melted and quenched by using a twin roller technique. As quenched glass flakes were heat treated in the range of 400-675 °C for 1-2 h in h...

Iron Phosphate Glass-ceramics

The crystallization of 40Fe2O3-60P2O5, 10ZnO-30Fe2O3-60P2O5 and (43.3−x)PbO–(13.7+x)Fe2O3–43P2O5, (0 < x < 30), glasses and glassceramic have been investigated. The structural evolution of glasses during heat treatment at various temperatures and the tendency for crystallization for series of glasses with modified composition are characterized by a dendrite-like phase separation in the early st...

Crystallisation of Foturan® glass–ceramics

hotostructurable glass–ceramics are suitable for 3-dimensional microfabrication and, in some instances, can be used as an alternative material o silicon in the microfabrication of micro-electro-mechanical-system (MEMS) devices. Foturan® is a photosensitive lithium–aluminium–silicate lass that can be structured by an exposure to UV light, followed by a thermal treatment and an etching step. In t...
